Moisturize- Apply intense moisturizer the night before you are going to fly. This will help increase hydration in your skin before you’re exposed to the dehydrating effects of cabin pressure.
Don’t apply foundation- Skip foundation on the day of your trip, and instead wear only moisturizer. Before you land, you can add a little tinted moisturizer for a fresh, healthy look.
Bring your hand cream- Never leave home without a travel size tube of your favorite hand cream in your bag, and use it liberally throughout the flight. This will not only keep your hands from drying out, but when you need to wash them, it can help counter the effects of harsh commercial-grade soaps found in public restrooms.
Always Pack Your Own Beauty Products-This includes the body lotions, shower gels, and fragrances you use. If you can only take one skin care item from home, let it be your facial cleanser. An abrupt change in cleansers can disrupt your skin’s acid balance and cause a vacation breakout.
Apply Lip Treatment Liberally- Pack a lip treatment in your carry-on bag and use it liberally while traveling. If I had to pick one flying “must have” it would be this. I prefer a lip balm, because it won’t rub my lipstick off and it keeps my lips hydrated while flying. It also works on long car rides, when high heat or air conditioning can also cause your lips to feel dehydrated.
