Teachers! Are we ready to go back?! I’m ready to help you with your teacher fashion challenges! So many teachers have reached out to me for this post, so let’s dive right in. I want to say first and foremost that I am right there with you and I get it. I know how we spend full days on our feet. I know how we are surrounded by dry erase markers, glue, and sticky hands. I know we are shopping on a budget. But I am here to tell you, we can bring practical affordable style into the classroom. We can do much better than crocs, sweats, and yoga pants!! And comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes don’t have to be ugly!
Let’s start with Target. Target is your friend. If you already follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love Target. Target impresses me. Target comes through consistently with high-quality, stylish pieces. I have found everything from boyfriend blazers to statement jewelry at Target. I’ve found fabulous tops, blouses, skirts, and dresses at Target. My favorite lines at Target are Merona, Mossimo, and Who What Wear.
Next up is T.J. Maxx and Marshalls 🙂 I have found gorgeous merchandise from some of my favorite designers at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls. And what is even better, I have found it for a steal. Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Sam Edelman, Nine West, BCBG, I can keep going… You get the point 😉 Also go on sites like Gilt Groupe, Rue La La, and Hautelook. These sites host clearance sales with up to 80% off.
Bring your teacher ID card with you when you go shopping and always, always, always ask if they give teacher discounts. Several stores do offer discounts just for being a teacher. J.Crew and J. Crew Outlet are my favorite. Others that offer teacher discounts and I shop at are The Limited, Loft, and New York & Company.
