Happy New Year! I’ve compiled almost all the answers to the questions about Park City, Utah on here. Enjoy!
How do you get to Park City?
Park City, Utah is less than half a day away from anywhere in the United States, and once you land at Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is an easy, 35 to 45 minute ride from the airport. We rented an SUV. Please consider the time of year you are traveling to Park City, Utah. If you are planning on visiting during the month of December, you MUST book your SUV in advance. For us, an SUV was the best option. We needed the space for all the ski gear that we rented for our family of 4. You can make arrangements to book with any of the car rental companies located in Salt Lake City airport. We flew on Jet Blue direct to Salt Lake City out of Fort Lauderdale Airport. American Airlines does not have a direct flight out of Miami. You will have to stop in Texas if you fly out of Miami.
How did you take or fit all the luggage for a ski trip on the plane?
The short answer is, I didn’t! I shipped all our ski gear and bulky items ahead of time to Utah, It was all waiting for us when we got there 🙂 We don’t own our own skis, we rented those in Park City.
Restaurant recs please!
You cannot have a bad meal in Park City, Utah. Here are some of the places we loved. Please note that Utah is extremely strict with the rules and laws regarding establishments that serve alcohol. There are restaurants that will not allow children to dine because they are establishments that serve alcohol. Something to consider if you’re traveling with children.
High West Distillery. Utah’s first distillery since the 1870’s, and the only ski-in gastro-distillery in the world. You cannot bring children here.
Tekila. Mexican Grill & Cantina serving up authentic Mexican cuisine at the top of scenic Main Street in the historic mining town of Park City, Utah.

5 seeds. Delicious food and coffee.
Wasatch Cafe. Best coffee and cafe in all of Park City.

Where did you stay?
We rented a home that we found on airbnb. There are so many beautiful homes in Park City. Again , if you are planning on visiting during December plan ahead and book it in advance.
Where did you ski and buy lift tickets? Where do you recommend lessons?
Skiing, lift, and lessons are all available at Park City Mountain. There are other mountains and places where you can ski in Park City. This is the one we visited. In the past we have also visited Canyons. If you have never been skiing, YES get lessons. If your children have never been skiing, YES send them to ski school. For me, skiing was not hard to learn, but it is hard to master. Still so much fun! One of the important things especially in the beginning is to get comfortable with the equipment. For the tubing we went to Woodward Park.
